Recipe for Homemade Lysol Wipes!

Amber, one of our readers shared this Homemade Lysol Wipes recipe with me!

Supplies:1 plastic old coffee can
1 roll BOUNTY (this is the best) papertowels (will be enough for 2 containers of wipes)
2 cups water (give or take)
1/4 to 1/3 cup dilutable cleaner (such as Lysol)
To make:
1. Cut BOUNTY roll in half and place in coffee can (leave cardboard insert inside papertowel until the end)
2. Pour cleaner equally around papertowels
3. Pour water equally around papertowels
4. gently pull cardboard insert out (this will start the wipes)
5. cut an "x" in the top of the coffee can and place on top

That's all there is to it!!

Thanks so much, Amber for sharing this with us!!!

  1. You can do this same thing and make baby wipes! (they used to make a rubber maid container that was perfect sized, not sure if they still do)
For the baby wipes use 2 TBL or baby oil and 2 TBL of baby wash instead of the Lysol. I usually mixed the water and the baby oil and wash first then put the roll of paper towels in lets them soak up the mixture then flip the roll over - this helps the mixture evenly distribute though the paper towels. Best Baby Wipes ever!!!!

  2. The Container Store has a Click Clack brand container that fits the bounty paper towels perfectly. I use it for the home made baby wipes, I like more than the top brands of baby wipes. I will try homemade lysol wipes.
